Effects on physiology of mammals : |
Oral dog 0.5 mg/kg protected against cyanide poisoning induced
by intravenous HCN dose of 0.67 or 1.34 mg/kg.
Protection
caused sequestration of cyanide inside red cells.
Oral rat (unspecifie concentration) brought about peak
methaemoglobin levels at 15-40 min while intravenous adminis-
tration caused peak methaemoglobin levels 15-25 min afte dosing
(Richardson et al. 1992).
